making sense out a scentless life

Today marks five years since I created My Anosmatic Life and wrote my very first post When It All Started. Wow, time flies! During this blog journey, I have made new friends who have anosmia and/or support individuals living with anosmia, became an ambassador for Fifth Sense, been interviewed on a podcast, and recently joined a #LetsTalkSmellandTaste conversation to discuss my life with Samter’s Triad.

So many folks have told me they learned something new by reading my blog and it warms my heart. Thank you to all my supporters! You all are the best! This is indeed a journey full of unknowns. One day, I hope to permanently smell again. Until then, I will continue to make sense out this currently scentless life of mine. Cheers to five years!

Hey niecy I am so very proud of you. Sometimes I forget that you have this condition. I hope and pray that your sense of smell and taste come back to you. You are a real trooper and you do not let this get you down. Love you to the moon and back.

Sharika five years!! And yet you have not let this define you. So proud of the things you keep doing to bring awareness to this loss of smell. Congratulations on time well spent

  4. It was nice to hear your story on the Fifth sense conversation last week about Samters which I am only newly aware I have, so much resonates with my issues….I like your saying ‘I will continue to make sense out this currently scentless life of mine.’
