It’s official! I’m finally getting allergy shots. But first, I had to get an allergy test…again. I thought I could just go right in and start getting the shots since I’ve had the test before. But since that was seven years ago (I totally missed the 3-5 year mark), I had to endure the fun skin-prickling allergy test once again. 🙄
According to the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology (AAAI), it’s “relatively painless.” Sure. My back got pricked 42 times. It was uncomfortable like the last one. Plus, waiting for the results consisted of about 20 skin-burning minutes. Lucky me my skin started burning immediately. I did get my results right after though.
Surprisingly, my allergies have worsened! Now, I’m allergic to weeds and my grass and tree allergies pretty much doubled or more. Ugh! Take a look at my results from 2010 (top) vs this year (bottom).
It sucks that my allergies are worse off, but cheers to me finally getting allergy shots to maintain them.
