In other words, my sense of smell is gone…again. Sadly, it came to a halt near the end of last month. It almost lasted for two weeks.

I figured I’d make an announcement about my smell status since it’s been gone for a whole month… like yesterday. Some of my loved ones have been asking me to smell stuff or if I can still smell it. No can do and nope. They even have been sharing how happy they are that I can smell again. Sorry to disappoint, but it was only temporary.
So, please don’t ask me to smell something or about the status of my smell until further notice. I beg you. Please and thanks. I know it’s so easy to put something up to my nose to smell. I’d love to, but I can’t. What more can I say?
And regardless of how many times I remind a family member or friend that I can’t smell, he/she still has forgetful moments. 🙄 Same applies when I randomly start to smell and then lose it again…even when I mention it. So, I usually go back to my anosmic life silently. But since I started this here blog to share my story, it seemed necessary.
While I appreciated everyone’s enthusiasm, “congrats,” and well wishes, I knew it was going to be short-lived. But I just thought I’d mention I can’t smell again. Someone very dear to me is still going to ask me to smell something and then say “Oh, I forgot.” It never fails.
